Hey guys,

i recently bought Battlefield 2, and i installed it without problems, but whenever i try and run it, it wont work, i just pops up for a second and nothing happens...

i think it may have something to do with the graphics card although my PC is fairly new..

Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

yeah i have the same problem for both my pcs. Word on the street and by street i mean this website, the programming wont allow it to run on anything under a geforce 4 (or anything with 128mb). Also its like a top of the line game and it wont even boot to a menu if you cant match what it needs. I was very upset... :tazz:

Thats why you research every software purchase, the EA website has the list of supported cards it doesnt include any of the geforce4s and only has above the 5700.

Specs for BF2.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

* Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
* 1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
* 512 MB of RAM or more
* 8x or faster CD/DVD drive
* 2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
* DirectX 9.0c compatible (see video)
* DirectX 9.0c compatible

VIDEO
Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:

* NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
* ATI Radeon 8500 or greater
