I had a problem with spyware that made the background black. I ran all the necessary programs to get rid of the spyware and my background is fine now. There are 2 accounts on my computer. The other account is still black and when I go right click on the desktop to get the properties window to add a background the only options are screen saver and settings. There are no options to even add a background. The account has administrator rights. How can I get those options back? Thanks.

What version of Windows XP do you have? It sounds like your permissions were changed. If it is XP Home you will need to use a utility called NTRights. It is XP Pro you can use Gpedit.msc which comes with Windows XP Pro.
