Smit virus

Dear All,

I have read related posts about how to remove the Smit virus from a Windows 98 machine.

Unfortunately both normal and safe mode result in a frozen desktop, leaving me unable to do anything. All I can do is startup with the dos prompt.

Is it possible to run smitRem or an alternative from the dos prompt?
