Go to control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall:

FlashGet
Messenger Plus!
MyWaySearchbar
Any other searchbar/toolbar's except for google

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.
Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.
Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it

finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the

menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the

following files in bold (if found):

-I've gone through add/remove rograms and uninstalled about 15 applications/games. uninstalled all toolbars, including google toolbars.

-run pc bugdoctor, ad-aware, spybot SD, AShampoo, Ace utilities, Antiy ghostbusters.

..basically cleaned up my whole computer of junk and history. But when i booted my computer in safe mode it restarted as soon as the desktop came on :D but I've made sure all the folders you told me to delete were deleted. <_<

I still get the same problem I had to start with but I've noticed that when I use Treesize Pro; any folders I right click on in their work perfectly:

yet when I try access this menu inside any folder I get that same memory error (or cut/copy a file)

Ok your log looks clean. Lets try this. Insert the Windows XP Setup disk into the drive and click "Start", "Run", and type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and make sure to put a space in between sfc and /scannow (just one space). Click ok and let it go. This will check system files and fix bad or missing ones. Reboot and try again.

I've fixed my problem <_<

It's a long story but long story short.... my computer wouldn't boot up so I've ended up installing another version of windows xp on the same partition, then upgrading the version I just installed to SP2. Now everything works great and I don't get that error anymore!

the only thing is; now I have a lot of apps and games on my computer that are installed, but don't work, because I have another version of windows installed.. If that makes sense, lol. I don't suppose theirs an easy way of fixing that is their? if not it's ok (I think it's something to do with the registry entries right?)

Thanks for the help man :D

You installed it on the same partition? Did you do a full install or an upgrade install? Also we could have done a repair install, this would have reinstalled everything and you would have only lost your windows updates. Same programs everything, just a fixed os. Now about this.... Lets get some details on what exactly you did and what is happening now before we move on, I'm not sure I understand how if you installed windows again that the programs would still be there but not able to run....weird.

Yea on the same partition because It wouldn't let me do anything at all in the recovery console. I tried reparing my install, that didn't fix my installation. The problem I got was when I got onto the windows splash screen when I booted up, it froze. I also tried creating a new partition but It didn't let me on either of ym HDD's.

I've ended up doing a full install of windows XP Pro SP2 on the same partition with the windows folder under the name 'Windows2'.. :/.

I've had this problem in the past.. but becuase I've done a full install of windows, although I still have all my old files on my computer it won't let me access them because I'm running a new installation of windows, it will only let me access them if I was working from the old installation of windows. Sorry I can't explain it any better.. lol

Ahhh, I see. When you do a full install of windows you always want to install it into the same windows folder. This is most likely why you have a bunch of programs that don't work now. Hmmm, I'm not sure how to fix this let me try and find the right answer here before I have you do something that is not correct.

Ok, sounds like you're gonna have to reinstall all your programs in order for them to work. :D "Gotta kick somethin' that means somethin'" :D <_<
