For a while I have been experiencing problems with Menu Start. Normally it is possible to move or remove the items that are in the left half of this menu. But I cannot remove the items I want to remove and I cannot move items in the list upwards or downwards. It seems the menu is locked. I have tried everything and the odd thing is that when I open 'documents and settings > all users > menu start > programs, the itmes (shortcuts) I want to remove are not in the list. Anyone had this before? I do not know what to do about it.

Try going "document and settings > (you) . etc. and see it you can find them. There is not way to lock the start memu that I am aware of.

Thanx for your trouble but this does not help. The items I want to remove do not appear in the list. Sometimes wheb I click on Remove a message appears saying it cannot find the source of the file I want to remove.
