There is no findfile.bat on my Desktop after reboot Excal.

EDIT: I think I get it. Lemme run the routine to get findfile.bat back onto my desktop.

Please download the Killbox.



Please run Killbox.

• Select "Delete on Reboot".
• Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

• Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
• Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
  
  If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..
  
• Let the system reboot.

after reboot. delete the old finditlog and run that again to get a new log and post it please. Also post a fresh HJT

Go to start>run> and typed copy and past this in:

EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e,/select, C:\windows\system32\netdde.exe


there should be 2 files that show. anyway you could take a screen shot of that? and explain to me exactly what the second file show.

I don't know how to take a screenshot...

Only one highlighted file icon for netdde appears after I use Run with the path you provided.

Boot into safe mode.


Go to start>run and type in CMD, then hit ok

Type the following:

cd C:\

then enter>

cd windows

then enter>

cd system32

then enter>

attrib -r -s -h netdde.exe

then enter>

del netdde.exe

then enter

Close out the Dos window.

Reboot and run the bat again please.

please copy these instructions and paste them into notepad for use while in safe mode

Please reboot your computer into safe mode.

Once in Safe Mode, go to Start > Run type:

cmd

Click OK.

Please copy the following line and paste it into the black window:

CD C:\Windows\system32

Hit enter.

It will go to the next line, then copy this line and paste it in:

rename n?tdde.exe netdde.old

Close out of that, reboot and run another bat for me please
