I'm trying to download JAVA on my new computer, which I'm running windows 98. However, when I try they respond that they are unable to complete the task. There's no error message. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help?

Have you updated your Internet Explorer yet? I always do that first, before anything else, because the older versions of IE can't handle the script on the update pages. You want IE6SP1.
