Ive got a laptop with me at the moment that has loss about 30 gigs of hard drive space, ive searched it to see if it could have been partitioned and it seems it hasnt been, looked to see if it was hidden and it wasnt, the only things that i could come up with is that it had a virus or the hard drive is gettin ready to fry, ive done a virus scan and it seems to be no problems with it at the moment. Any possible hints on to what this may be would be greatly appreciated.

Start -> Run.
Type: diskmgmt.msc.
Press <enter>.
Look for any Unallocated Spaces.

You can also download SpaceMonger, which shows you a map of your drive and hence telling you where you HDD free space is gone.
You can also post a screenshot of a SpaceMonger map of the partition where you lost the space.
