Hi Im quite new to this and don't realy know that much about computers but i have somehow contracted a virus by the name of Aurora, part of the abi network. Although i have tried to delete it, i just seem to be hitting more problems! please help!

I can see that you have some malware issues. This maybe a few step process in removing it. I encourage you to stick with it and follow my directions as closely as possible so as to avoid complicating the problem further.

Couple things from you first off:

1) I noticed that your HiJackthis.exe is located on your desktop, make sure to save HijackThis in its own folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This is very important, so HiJackThis can save backups!

How to make a permanent folder:

Click "My Computer", then "C:\" and then on "Program Files".
In the menu bar, "File"->"New"->"Folder".
That will create a folder named "New Folder", which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have "C:\Program Files\HijackThis". Put your HijackThis.exe there.

2) When you post your next HiJackThis log, please post the whole thing, from the very top, to the very bottom....thanks

3) We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time. Click here: http://www.microsoft...p1/default.mspx Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
