Hi, I'm new to this, so here goes. Seem to have contracted an Alemod.e.dll / Wininet.dll trojan that can be detected, but will not be removed by, McAfee.com, Ewido or Xoftspy. Any pointers more than welcome. My HijackThis log is below. Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the reply. Did as you suggested, or at least tried, but was faced with an installation error. Basically, SP1a wouldn't install because the wininet.dll file was being used by another programme (see attached screenshot). For info, I tried this again and again, even with McAfee disabled, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

Turn of McAfee while downloading the service pack then you should be able to install service pack.
