Cant Copy Any Files To CD

Hi , when i want to Burn a CD it goes FAST and then looses speed and keeps doing it and its not burning right i use RECORD NOW and my burning speed is 48x is there something wrong with my CD-RW ? the make is LITE-ON COMBO SOHC-4832K.

check the drivers for your burner first...and we'll work from there

right click my computer > manage > device manager > look for any yellow ? and also look for y our actual drive...then ou can click the drive and do update drivers

go to the lite-on website and see if theyhave a newer version

Hi NvidiaDude...

Try turning your burn speed down...some media just won't take the high speeds even if they state they can. Try 16X and if that works, gradually work your way up until it fails and set your speed accordingly. Worked for me!

Everything I'm finding says that XP's default drivers are all that are required for that drive. HP lists a Firmware Update, but does not list your drive specifically. Lite on shows a few Drivers available, but again, your drive is not specifically addressed.

Have you tried updating your drivers through the Device Manager. I have even gone so far as to remove the drive in Device Manager so it would detect and reinstall on restart.

I would try the latter suggestions before installing drivers that may or may not be correct for your drive.

wannabe i installed that firmware and said this: Yours System is not configured with this drive It does not need to be updated
