Hi guys,
after running CleanUp40 XP looked like '95 !

In Desktop/Display Properties/Appearance/Windows & buttons the drop menu shows "Windows classic style" only, where has XP STYLE gone ???

Thanks in advance

Did you buy chance mess with the Services that are running? Even if you haven't, check and make sure 'Themes' is set to 'Automatic,' and restart your computer.

Download the following file (from Kelly's Korner):
Resources.zip.
Make sure you when extract it, the destination is c:\Windows.
(where c: is the partition where XP is installed).
Go to Display Properties and XP stlye will be back.

I had the same problem after running CleanUp, and Resources.zip managed to fix it.

However, I would like to know why the issue occurred in the first place.

I am reluctant to use a tool to solve a malware problem on another's PC if it is going to produce unexpected results like this.

Does anyone know why this happens?
