I've started a new job at an office where they've mixed and matched OS's.

I'm trying to rebuild an Win 2000 Pro installation that is s-l-o-w. Is there a utility like Tune XP that can get a Win 2000 setup working again?

All virus and spyware programs are up to date.

tune up utilities are extraordinarily over-rated and accomplish little.

If a computer is really slow, it is symptomatic of a deeper problem.

Start by unloading/uninstalling programs that run at startup.

Then Run chkdsk c: /r from a command prompt

Then run a defrag

Add more ram

Everything else is just incremental improvements
