I got an original Unreal Tournament 2004 game from my friend, but since he's already using the cd-key on the box, I had to install the game with a cd-key from a keygen. I installed, and I can play the whole game except on servers, meaning i can only do the single game and stuff.
When I go to the server menu and click on the refresh button (server tab) it tells me it can't recognize, or can't validate my version of the game. I'm guessing it's because of the cd-key.

So for now, i can't play on servers.. and that's like missing out on the whole game... so what do you think the problem is?

P.S. - if the problem is the cd-key i entered, what cd-key should i use for it to work and how do i change the key w/o having to delete the progress i made in single player?

Usimg multiple versions of the same game is illegal you cant go on servers because it is illegal to do so as only one copy of the game is allowed per person. We cant and wont help you this thread will be closed soon.
