Running XP and I bought a new computer and wanted to transfer my email addresses from one computer to another. The problem is when I tried to open and do the transfer, my email account isn't there. Is there a way to get it off my hard drive? Can I search my c drive from the search menu, what would the file extensions be? Can any one help with any ideas. Thanks

Hi zekedog...Welcome to G2G!

You'll need to copy the file wab from the OutLook Express folder and place it in the OutLook Express folder on the new machine. You should be able to use a floppy to make the transfer.

Navigate to My Computer > HDD > Program Files > Outlook Express and copy the file wab to your floppy drive.

On the new machine, copy the file from the floppy and paste it to the Outlook Express folder...click "Yes" if your get the prompt asking if you want to replace this file.

See if your contacts are now there....
