Sorry you were overlooked, it has been very busy lately.

If you still require help please post a new Hijack log in this

Hi,
I have a friend who has been infected with the "About-Blank" virus. He is running Windows 98.
He is not very knowledgeable with computers, so I am trying to help him out.
We have installed and run AVG, Lavasoft, and Spybot.
We have installed Mozilla Firefox as a browser.
I am working on his computer using UltraVNC to connect to his computer.
I ran "Hijack This.exe" and used it to clean out the files that I knew were bad.
I then ran "Hijack this" agian and I am attaching the log.
We have him up and running agian, but I have not been able to find the original virus file because I don't know what file I am looking for!

Can you help me!
Thanks

Hello :tazz:

Please uninstall this

OnlineDialer

Then delete this folder

C:\Program Files\OnlineDialer

Go to http://www.billsway.com/vbspage/

Scroll down to:

Registry Search Tool
Search the Windows Registry for input string and display results (easier than repeatedly hitting the F3 key in RegEdit).

Script revised 13 Dec 2001 to work with Windows XP and Windows 2000
.

Download the script

Open the RegSearch folder and double click RegSearch.vbs. Allow it to run.

enter powerscan then hit "ok"

RegSearch will "disappear" but it is actually searching the registry for that entry.

Copy and paste what it finds into a Notepad file.

Thanks
