I hope I've placed my question in the right section, but this is the best place I could find.

I'm using windows Xp just for reference. My problem is recently after bringing my computer out of stand-by, the size/positioning and image shape of my screen is always changed so it is way off to the side, and the pincusion affects are all changed. Every time I have to go into the menu and reset to default settings. I have to do this every time it comes out of stand-by .

I was just wondering if anyone knows how I could fix this problem, thanks in advance

while some of those settings are windows related, the pin-cushion affect is an indication of failing hardware---try cleaning/vacumming the monitors air vents and seeing if it improves

Sorry for my delayed response, I've been quite busy with school this week.

I've cleaned my monitor vents to the best of my ability and the settings still change as usual, is there anything else I could attempt ?
