Windows Explorer Problem

I start up my PC to find out that none of the windows explorer desktop icons or toolbars dont come on. No error is stated about windows explorer. I run it manually via Windows Task Manager, and the only thing that pops up is the My Documents page on the system. I'm not exactly sure what's corrupted in windows explorer and how to fix it?
