My pc is runnning much slower than usual lately, and im also getting an, "application failed to initilize properly" everytime i turn off or restart my pc.

Please post the Hijack This log and then I can determine which scans would be most useful. I guess that would work faster.

Please print out these instructions or copy them into a text file on your Desktop for easy access.

During the fix, u will be asked to fix some entries, delete some files or uninstall some programs. If in case, you do not see those entries / files / programs, please make a note of it. Continue with the fix and in your next post please inform me of all deviations from the fix prescribed.

1. Download Programs

Please download these programs and save them in a new folder on your desktop -

CleanUp


2. Run Hijack This

Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

Restart the PC in Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key when the PC is starting up).

3. Delete Rogue files

Open Add or Remove Programs (click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control panel. This should be the 3rd item). Uninstall or remove the following items -

Media Access
Media Gateway


Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following folders and files -

Folders
C:\Program Files\Bazookabar
C:\Program Files\Media Access

Files
C:\WINDOWS\uiyjv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pidszht.exe


Run CleanUp and delete all temp files including temporary internet files


Reboot the PC in Normal Mode.

Please visit Panda and do an online scan. Save the scan report.

Run Hijack This and post a fresh HJT log along with Panda scan report.

you tell me what you did to AIM !! I didnt see it running on your PC in the first log you posted today !! It was running in your first post in this topic !!

im not sure, i guess i could uninstall it and download it again...its not that big of a deal. i just wasn't sure if it was something you had me do for some reason.

I would never do anything of that sort !!!

In case I dont like a program (and it is not bad), the I would always tell you so and suggest alternatives which can be used.

I am not a fan of AIM but I wouldnt spring such nasties on anybody

oh ya, i remember. when i installed aim it came with some new browser that aol came out with so i uninstalled the browser and it must have gotten rid of aim as well.

Do you want me to continue or would you rather go somewhere else for your issues ??

You can also post another topic in this forum and probably somebody else will pick it up and clean your PC "without doing any harm to it" and I will close this topic.

Like i said before im sorry if i made it sound like i was accusing you of harming my pc, i most certianly did not mean to.

Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following folders and files -

Folders
C:\Program Files\Aprps
C:\Program Files\ProSiteFinder
C:\Program Files\SideFind

Files
C:\WINDOWS\180.exe
C:\WINDOWS\azentretien.dll
C:\WINDOWS\azesearch4.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\azebar.xml
C:\WINDOWS\system32\azesearch4.ocx
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ide21201.vxd
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Zphrdp.exe




Click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control panel. Double click on Java. Click on Updates tab and then click on Update now.

Also click on General tab (in Java window) and click on delete files.

Let me know if you have any issues with your PC !! Your HJT log looks fine
