:tazz: We just got a second, used comp, from my brother and his wife,
to use for our new business.
It's a PC clone, with a Win95 OS, PentiumII, with 3DNOW.
When my brother showed it to my wife, the mouse, ( a standard-type, ps/2 ),
functioned just fine.
However, when she got it home and set up, the computer gave her a message that no mouse was detected.
We've tried everything, including: uninstalling all existing mouse software, then re-installing; trying a different mouse; running instal new hardware wizard; even
opening up the tower to be sure everything inside was still properly conected.
There is only 1 ps/2 port on the back of the tower, that I can find.
I suspect there is a problem with the port, or it's card.
Is this something fixable, that I can attend to, should it be looked at by a proffessional, or does the port card just need to be replaced.
How can I tell?
This comp will not be used to go online, just for bookkeeping, creating brochures,
etc.
Any assistance with this would be appreciated.
