I have a 2nd internal hard drive installed on my computer. I've had it for about 2 yrs. and have never had any problems accessing it. My computer has been acting strangely for a few days so last night my son tried to fix it. I have no idea what he did. It seems to be working fine now with the exception of me not being able to access my D drive. I get this message........D:\Animations is not accessible. The device does not recognise the command. Please help, all my pictures of family and friends are stored on my D drive! I am computer illiterate so please explain what to do in the simplest of terms. Thank you in advance for any help you can give to me!

Other than opening the case and making sure the drive connectors are properly inserted I don't think there is much you can do, except take it to a competent shop where they know something about data recovery. In a case like this where the data is more important than the disk you need to be very careful of what you do and you need the proper software to fix things.
