[Driven_Insane]

Hello! I am new to this site, as I am not completely computer-illiterate and can resolve most issues that arise sans help. However, I now swallow my cyber-pride and turn to the experts for this plague that is afflicting our precious laptop... that vile WinFixer.

I have ran SpySweeper, AVG, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, and even Micro$oft's own "Malicious Spyware Remover," all to no avail. I have even ran some of the fixes found available online (lmfix, vundofix)... no dice.

Before I post my HijackThis! log, I would just like to thank all of the people who contribute their efforts to this site... if I had a credit-card, I would gladly donate, but for now, you'll just have to settle for my humble thanks.

  • All other windows need to be closed while doing this fix!
• Navigate to the new folder C:\VundoFix
• Double click on KillVundo.bat
  • When it starts running it will tell you that you need an active internet connection then ask you to press any key once you do.
• Please press any key to continue.
• Wait for HiJackThis to open.
• When HiJackThis opens, click Scan. Place a check next to the following items, if found:

Once the computer is rebooted post a new HiJackThis log as well as the contents of vundofix.txt which can be found in this folder: C:\VundoFix

So far so good... thanks again for the help!! Hopefully it stays that way... Do you think browsing with FireFox makes a difference in cases like this? My g/f has this huge obsession with IE... I'm still working on converting her
