I am helping fix a computer with spyware issues, fixed serveral of them and removed a few issues, like a crashing explorer.exe. The problem that has arrisen before, and i had to clean wipe the system to fix it, is that when he tries to connect to a video on the net it no longer recognizes, and suggests using, HTTP protocol.

Here is the Hi-jack this log

Hi MoKurr and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

I need to see a few files from your system befoe we go much further!

Please locate and Upload these files

C:\WINNT\system32\mszx23.exe

C:\WINNT\system32\msvbc.dll

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00009.exe

Upload them here please
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/forum/

Leave a link to this post and put Attn: Cretemonster in the message!

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Create a folder on your desktop called Sysclean.

Go to http://www.trendmicr...ownload/dcs.asp and download sysclean package to the folder you made.

Go to http://www.trendmicr...oad/pattern.asp and download the Official Pattern Release for windows to your desktop.
This file will be called lptXXX.zip (XXX represents the version number)

Unzip lptXXX.zip and you'll get the file lpt$vpn.XXX.
Move the lpt$vpn.XXX to that Sysclean-folder you created on your desktop.

Turn off your antivirus which is installed on your system because it can interfere with the Sysclean-scan.

Open the sysclean-folder and doubleclick sysclean.com.

Check: Automatically clean or delete detected files.

Click scan.

When the scan is finished, select: 'view log'.

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode:
http://service1.syma...src=sec_doc_nam

Repeat the Steps to run SysClean again, while in Safe Mode!

Now,Make sure All Winodws and Browsers are Closed and Scan the entire System with Ewido-> Clean all it finds-> be sure to click the tab to Save a Report!

Run MSCONFIG and enable everything in the startup area. To get to MSCONFIG, click on Start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG -> click OK!

Under the "General" Tab
Make Sure Normal Startup is Checked!!

Click Apply>>Close>>Follow the Prompts to Restart!!

Restart Normal and have the PC Scanned here:
Panda Active Scan

You will need to be using Internet Explorer for the Scan to work!

Save the Report it generates

Post back with a fresh HijackThis log and the reports from SysClean-> Ewido and Panda!
