Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Netgear DG834GT wireless ADSL modem/router to set up a home network (as well as to replace my current problematic BT Voyager 205 ADSL modem/router).

As I'm a newb at networking, does anyone have any experience of this Netgear product (eg. ease of installation, pros/cons)? Is it compatible with BT broadband? I've read that BT doesn't comment on compatibility with other modems/routers apart from it's own? Anyone tried it?

Any comments/advice/other recommendations would be much appreciated!

We tried this with BT Broadband and found that it worked without any problems leaving us just to enter our account details to get online in a matter of minutes.

Just bought and installed 834GT. Couldn't be easier. 5 minutes start to finish
