i always get disconnected (i can only go online for at most an hour, the least is 2 minutes) and i have to restart my pc just to connect again.. i tried calling the dsl company & told me i have to use a microfilter... i am already using a splitter (isn't it the same thing as microfilter?) i asked someone & told me it's probably my LAN card: i'm using CNet PRO200WL PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter, could it be this???

angelslacker, Welcome to Geekstogo

Questions/comments

Splitters incorporate filters, but there are ocassions where you need more filters.

Can you hear noise on any of your phone lines when you are connected?

Make a call to your line while you are connceted. what happens?

Are the disconnects associated with incoming phone calls?

Best regards,

Howdy:

When using DSL, you must have a FILTER attached to every telephone jack in your house that has a phone attached to it..

It goes on the phoneline ONLY !!
