Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.
Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

I don't see anything to be concerned about. There is one entry you can fix.
Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
Also, your Internet Explorer could be updated to 6.0. Have you run Windows Update and applied all the critical patches? You can find IE 6.0 there too.

Thanx, Im going to do the update just now. However I did the hijackthis fix again and theres no change it keeps stalling........ when I start up I need to press F1 then ctl.dll message comes right away. I have to ignore it or else I cant do anything. In turn I cannot use ctrl/alt/del.
I downloaded winpatrol it helps with this and in active tasks it says "rundll32.exe" run dll as application , I dont know whether this is a problem or not.....

Your rundll32.exe may have been deleted by a trojan. Try this: http://www.spywarein...s.html#rundll32
Click on the Download link where it says: "Windows ME: Download"
