I think that would be quite a good idea, but the Staff might need to check each proposed freebie utility for spyware / malware, etc as a large percentage of these 'free' softwares are paid for by advertising.

Perhaps if the app was available for download from CNet then that would count for something as they purport to check all the software they offer for included spyware.

I think it is the way people talk and act that makes the Staff judge whether which action should be taken! I think not sure!

We have our ways man :) :) :)

For me, I go by gut sence's. Or can some times just tell. Don't ask me how, but sometimes I just know.

But if I start to wonder about certin things, that rings "alarm bells" for me, and I just ask about it. (as some of you may notice.)

`Its gut snese alot of people make it rather obvious, some people will ask them to go through that windows genuine advatnage stuff i dont do that because i think its devious to do it under the guise of helping them. If they have more than a couple of brain cels to rub together then you cant tell at all because they will more than likely have WGA turned off.

No staff member will help any other member that is posing or trying to do something illegal! I think if you install the same XP CD Copy on more than one computer it is illegal (unlees you buy those multiple things)!
