I am Buying laptop this month, and wanted to know what should I have in it. I don't want to spend over $800

I want to go wireless with it.
some gaming (city of hero, world of war craft)
media (music vids)
school work.
how much ram?
how much memory?

Look for one that will do what you want to do (wireless) with a cd/dvd combo drive (you will want to be able to write to it) and as much RAM as you can afford (256 is ok but 512 is better!) I have seen ads from CompUSA, Office Max and Office Depot that meet your price limit (though some may have rebates involved to reach it). I have even seen one at Sams Club that meets your price limit. Start shopping, google is your friend for things like this.
