I am using WIndows firewall.

I have MSN Explorer but not one that is just called Internet Explorer. Is it the same thing?

No, they're not the same thing. Let's try it another way.

Right click on your desktop and select New -> Shortcut
Copy this text into the box and click Next.

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This should put your IE shortcut back on your desktop.


As far as Windows firewall goes, I would recommend getting something a little stronger. Take a look at the free version of Zone Alarm.
