Your log looks good. If you have no more malware-related problems that you are aware of, just give me the OK and we can start the final but essential cleanup procedures.

Hi,
Thanks for all the help so far. There are a couple of things that I have noticed that I am not sure about. First, my computer is running slow. I opened the windows task manager and clicked on the processes tab and there is a process called imjpmig.exe that is running 95-99 of my CPU usage. Is there a way that i can fix this? Also, on the background of my desktop has a big black message that tells me that my system is infected with spyware. I tried to change the background, but it wont let me. I think that is all the problems that I know of. Thanks.
Eric

As for the file, it is useless unless you use Asian characters: http://www.liutiliti...ibrary/imjpmig/
Disable it.
Now for your desktop:
Is your desktop background hijacked also then? If it is, then do this also:
Right click on http://www.greyknigh...pairDesktop.reg and download that file. Double click on it and click on Yes when it asks you if you want to merge it into the registry. Once that's done, restart your computer.
Login as usual and now right click on your Desktop and go to Properties. Next go to Desktop tab->Customize Desktop button->Web tab. Uncheck everything listed there. Then delete all the entries listed except for 'My Current Home Page'. Click OK and OK.
Regards, and let me know the outcome please

Hi,
The desktop is back to normal, thank you, and the CPU usage is back down. When I was looking at that list of processes from that website, I noticed that I might have another problem. I have a bunch of processes named svchost.exe, I think it said that those are trojans and worms. What should I do?
Thanks,
Eric

I am happy that things are getting back to normal for you and that the information I provided was of some use.
DO NOT TOUCH SVCHOST files These are mostly legit. You only get concerned when they are misspelled or in the weong folder. Svchost files combine many other essential functions and none but the very knowledgeable or foolhardy play around with those.
Please send me a final log for review,
Thanks,
Trevuren

Congratulations, your log shows that your SYSTEM IS CLEAN
There are a few things you must do once you are completely clean:
1. Re-hide your System Files and Folders to prevent any future accidents.
Reconfigure Windows XP to hide hidden files:
TO DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE
Make sure you keep your Windows OS current by visiting Windows update
regularly to download and install any critical updates and service packs. With out these you are leaving the backdoor open.
I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
So how did I get infected in the first place? (My Favorite)

There are a few things you must do once you are completely clean:
1. Re-hide your System Files and Folders to prevent any future accidents.
Reconfigure Windows XP to hide hidden files:
- Click Start. Open My Computer.
- Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.
- Under the Hidden files and folders heading deselect "Show hidden files and folders".
- Check the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
- Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
TO DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE
- Right-click "My Computer", and then left click "Properties".
- Left click on "System Restore Tab"
- Check box beside "Turn Off System Restore"
- Left click on "Apply"
- Remove check mark from "Turn Off System Restore"
- Click on "Apply"
Make sure you keep your Windows OS current by visiting Windows update
regularly to download and install any critical updates and service packs. With out these you are leaving the backdoor open.
I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
- Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
- Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
- How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
- How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
- Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
- MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your coputer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
- Google Toolbar <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
So how did I get infected in the first place? (My Favorite)

Trevuren
