I'm running xp pro/Sp1 and IE6. When importing favorites into IE using the 'import/export wizard', I can only "import from a file". The option to "Import from another program or web browser" is greyed out and therefore cannot be selected. Anyone know a fix for this please? Thanks in advance.
Pip.

Only Netscape is supported in the "Import from an Application" option in IE.
Try the "export to file" option from your source browser.

Thanks for that darth ash. I don't have Netscape installed so that makes sense of what you say. I was hoping to import from Opera since Opera's export file (even in HTML format) is "an invalid bookmark file" according to IE import. Oh well. just have to re-build them manually.

Firefox does the same? Once installation finishes if you want to import all the faves, history and cookies from all the browsers installed on your pc?

pip22,
Why dont you try importing opera bookmarks into Firefox.
Then export from Firefox to file. Finally, import to IE by file.
