When starting up the computer, I get an error message saying the following file can't be found: C:\PROGRA~1\WILDTA~1\APPS\CDA\CDAENG~1.DLL.

I am also concerned, in general, about what processes are running on my computer that may be slowing it down, creating privacy issues, etc.

I have run windows update, Ad-Aware, Spy-bot Search and Destroy, Mcaffee QuickClean Lite, and the latest version of my Symantec antiv-virus software.

Thank you for you help. I will post my HiJack This log in the next message.

Welcome to GTG sbcwiley. Please disable Spybot's Teatimer as it may interfere with our fixes.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\toar.exe

The following are not necessarily spyware/malware, but we suggest you place a check mark next to the following entries, as these programs may be taking up system resources.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Portfolio] c:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WksSb.exe /AllUsers
(Description: Microsoft Works portfolio tool. If you're not using this, remove it. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] c:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe
(Description: Checks for updates to MS Works. Unnecessary. Removing this entry will free up some system resources. )

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] \"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\QTTASK.EXE\" -atboottime
(Description: Apple's QuickTime loader. Completely unneccessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit
(Description: Nvidia system tray applet. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TraySantaCruz] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TBCTRAY.EXE
(Description: Provides quick access via a System Tray icon to the control panel for Turtle Beach's Santa Cruz or VideoLogic's SonicFury soundcards. Available via Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources. )

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [SchedulingAgent] mstask.exe
(Description: Microsoft Windows task scheduler. Allows you to schedule tasks to run on a daily or weekly basis. If you have not scheduled any tasks, you should disable this, as removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
(Description: PowerREGISTER from Leadertech. Registration reminder as used by Iomega, Hasbro & Microprose - amongst others. Unnecessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources. )

O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.r...ip/RdxIE601.cab
(Description: Browser add-on from RealNetworks. Unnecessary.)

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:
