I have an iPod and it doesnt seem to want to work with the USB cable I have and I was told you need USB 2.0 or better, how do you tell which one you have?

did you install any drivers so your computer so you can use your USB if you did it should tell you what kind of USB you have.

start>settings>control panel>system>advanced>device manager

expand usb controllers. If you see the word 'enhanced' then you have 2.0
