What software is on the iPod CD? I recently bought an iPod off eBay and was just the iPod and bought the other parts needed ie cables and headphones. Anyway, I downloaded iTunes and iPod Software Updater and wnted to delete the songs off the iPod so I plugged it in and the iPod didnt show on iTunes so I went to restore the factory settings on the Updater and the software just said there was a disk write error and a formatting failure. What do I need to do?

P.s before you ask I have be one a few iPod forums and had no reply so hope that the fellow companions at GTG can help.
Thanks in advance.

The CD has iTunes, as well as the firmware for the iPod, which I believe that you can download from iTunes, once you get your iPod plugged into it.

Right it could be that its formated wrong. You can set it to mac or windows but I would of thought that that could of been changed using the updater. Does the ipod work? I mean can you listen to the music on it or do a picture appear on the screen if so what?
