High, if I had a new computer and would like to add those programs, such as Office, Photoshop and the like, but couldn't afford them, nor had any intention of pinching them, what free alternative programs would you recommend me. They would be best without either spyware or addware but if you clearly inform me of that downfall in the product I would still accept it as an option.

I myself use:
Skype, for the telephoning between computers, free when not dailing a real telephone.

Infranview, for picture viewing. free for a while

VLC, for all video forrmat viewing. free and no strings.

High, it has been so long ago that I saw that thread that I have compleatly forgotten about it.

So we now have one thread for free applications(pinned, still running), which can be used instead of the ripping:

http://www.geekstogo...w-PC-t3936.html

and also we have a messy thread on tweeks(pinned, closed)

http://www.geekstogo...eaks-t2780.html

So between these two threads, a person should be able to have a good system without resorting to ripping programs,

Anyway, I have started this thread it seems by mistake but, since people might still will to contribute, lets continue till it sinks by itself.

Joanna, thank for the tip, will try it out.

At this point I feel the mere cannonization of RockIV is not enough, diafication is called for as I am really greatful, that is how the thread here should look too.

I don't believe your being 12 years old but connonization is when the Pope turns someone into a saint, and diafication is when a Roman emporer turns one of the passed emporers into a god except when Caligula turned himself into a god, and then he had his farorite horse turned into a god too. Anyway, it was a token of my gratitude towards you and hope you will take it as such, since there are times when one is bored with writting merely the truth such as "Thank you for this wonderful post on my topic" which I hope you will agree is correct but dull to the average reader. :tazz:

Also I thought that if I avoid writing a too straight a reply to your post, people would think "this must be exceptional" and press the link you gave to see for themselves. btw my age changes, I was much older before.
