i seem to have this same problem

i was running Nvidea firewall, and also XP firewall i have turned them both off,

uninstalled and re installed twice, once with the firewalls then granting acess and once without.

and its the same thing both times?

no idea what is going wrong i can connect to msn on my second pc at the side of me but not on this one,

im using Windows XP pro.

Did u manage to fix this problem? if so how please?

has any1 got any other ideas?

Dratsab, see if this works for you

Start > Run

Then paste this into the command line:

RegSvr32 Softpub.dll

Click OK and follow any prompts. Reboot.

Let us know if that worked

brilliant, was just that the clock was set up to 2004?!?! no idea how that happened would have never of thought of that one though!

thanks for all your help in this matter who this can help some1 else who has the same problem though :)

No way!!!

i really cant belive it.... i tried reformating, differnt wireless cards, trouble shooters, freinds, the probolem really did seam totally unrational and unsolvable.

and all i had to do was change the date on my clock.

thanks guys! am well impressed with this forum,

still cant belive it...
