I just reformatted my laptop but when i plug in the ethernet cable and set up a connection, nothing happens. I go to create a new connection>connect to internet>manually>broadband thats always connected. After that nothing happens, it doesnt even show any newly created connections.

Are the drivers for the NIC installed??

that is what I usually do to connect to that same connection on normal computers ive reformatted before. The laptop isnt on me now but i think i recall the ethernet adaptor being one of the devices in device manager that has no driver yet. Ill try that when i get the chance.

It needs a driver in order to work.. No NIC, no internet connection!!

BTW, you aren't using the Windows XP Pro SP2 Corporate Edition you referred to in a previous post of yours that you have failed to reply to??

You do realize that is piracy and illegal as h3ll.. One XP install per system is what the EULA provides for..

No wonder you couldn't activate anymore.. Probably came back with an invalid keycode message

Yep.. and because of that your support here is now ended as will every other thread you started due to using pirated software..

We do NOT support pirated programs nor does any other legitimate help forum..

This thread (and a few others) is CLOSED !!!
