Hi, I have a question and I hope someone can tell me what to do.

On a Hard Drive with Windows XP Pro Installed, I tried to Install the
Hard Drive in another Computer, but when it comes to the screen
with the message windows did not start properly.
Safe Mode, etc, etc,
Last Known good start
Start Windows Normaly,
The computer then goes to a blue Window with a message,
Windows has been shut down to prevent any damage to your
computer. Can anyone please tell me why this happens ??
Any possible help would be appreciated and many thanks. Al

Howdy:

XP has to be installed on the system it is going to work in.. When you placed that hdd into the new system, nothing concerning the new mobo and installed hardware matched what XP thought should have been there.. Thus, you got the options you did..

You need to boot the system using your XP cd and run a REPAIR

You will have to re-install all Service Programs/Critical Updates and Hotfixes but everything else should be just fine!!
