Hi all the experts out there,

I have this weird problem on my cousin's machine. Everything works fine, except that whenever WinXP Professional is booting up, right after it hits the "Welcome" blue screen, i will hear a "beep" sound. After that, it's about 2 to 3 minutes of waiting time. I can tell that the Hard Drive is doing something, as the Hard Drive light is blinking slowly at that time. But I don't know how to tell what it is doing.

I tried using msconfig to clear up some of the startup services that i don't need, defraged the machine, and even tried some tweaking tricks with the registry with no luck.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot !
