Whenever we use IE, winfixer windows keep popping up. We have run the recommended scans and now get blank IE windows that have winfixer in the address bar (the content is getting blocked, but the extra windows still show up). We would appreciate you help.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer and uncheck the same box to enable System Restore.

After that, you should be all set.

Hi Ben, that one is probably not worth it to fix. I saw that earlier already and we usually just ignore these since they are minor and harmless. Unless you want to go through some few more steps to remove it?

If not, post back one more time and I will close this topic and mark it resolved.
