Hey guys whats up i just had a problem i built my comp about a month or two ago everything was cool and it all works great. I currently have an LG cd burner and i am looking to add an LG dvd burner as well but when i put them both on the same ide cable and set the cd to master and the dvd to slave it only sees one on my comp not both.

Did you connect the master to the end of the IDE cable and the slave to the middle connector??

Are both being recognized in BIOS??

Is the IDE setting in BIOS set for "Auto"??

Hey i have everything done it doesnt show both in the bios no and yes i have it set to auto

Then, chances are you have the cable connected incorrectly.. Red stripe to Pin1 and red lead on poer connector facing Pin1..

well i realized i didnt change the jumper to slave lol smart me its always the smallest thing i dont remember i got it working now to my next prob haha
