Hello Everyone,

I am getting a ridiculous amount of pop-ups. I have used ewido, ad-adware, clean-up!, and trend micro housecall. None of these programs were successfull. Is there anyone out there that can help me eliminate this problem?

There is a lot going on on your system, so we need to take care of this in several different steps...

Any reason why your windows isn't up to date? You don't have even ServicePack1 installed! Remember that your system is extremely vulnerable without the necessary security patches/updates, so malware can get installed automatically while surfing without any problems.
Please visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and update to Service Pack 1. When your system is clean afterwards, then update to SP2, because updating to SP2 CAN cause problems as long as you are infected.
Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."...then please use next fix first:

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Extra note... after reboot and logging in, normally a screen will pop up and perform the rest of the fix and notepad opens automatically afterwards.
If that doesn't happen, you'll have to do it manually, so open your L2M-folder which is present on your desktop and doubleclick second.bat.
Let it run and notepad (log.txt) will open then. Copy and paste the contents of it in your next reply with a new hijackthislog.

Check and fix next entries in hijackthis:

Then, go to start > run and copy and paste next command:

sc delete vltnukvmw

Click OK

Unzip hoster to an own folder, eg C:\Hoster
Start Hoster.exe, click 'Restore Original Hosts' and click OK.

A question, did you check and fix entries yourself in your log? Or did someone else also help with this? Because there were a lot of entries befor in your log that needed to go. Now it seems like they are already gone now?
That's a bit of a problem, because now I don't know if those files are still present. Checking and fixing in hijackthis only deletes keys, no files. And if they are still present, it won't take long before you are infected again.
That's why I strongly suggest you perform a full scan with an updated Adaware SE and/or Spybot S&D to get rid of the leftovers.
If you don't have those programs yet, you can find the downloadlocations in my sig.

Also Perform an onlinescan with Bitdefender and/or Housecall (check here autodelete) and let it delete everything it is finding.

Reboot afterwards and post a new hijackthislog.

A classmate was the one who fixed some of the hijack entries...I'm not really sure what it was that he did. I pasted the info from the Bitdefender scan some of the entries were could not be removed.

Download WinPFind.zip and unzip the contents to the C:\ folder.

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:

• Restart the computer.
• As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.
• Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
• Press the Enter key.

Locate the c:\winpfind\winpfind.exe file and double-click it to run it. Now click the Start Scan button to begin the scan.

When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder)
