My laptop got dropped and landed on the power cable, pushing the er, bit that goes into the back of the laptop, further in.

Now when I push it in, there's sparks and the laptop doesn't recognise any power going in. i.e. its running on battery only.

Can this be repaired or am I looking at a new laptop?

How old is the lappy?

If its more than 2 years old it may cost more than what the lappy is worth to fix it.

Its sounds serious :tazz:
