I have a problem with WinFixer popup opening multiple websites. I have gone through all the recommended scans multiple times but still the problems exist. :tazz:

I have always had Sybot - SD Resident and Zone Alarm Free Edition as my firewall. I have AVG Free Edition for my anti virus protection.

Any Help is very much appreciated. :)

Below is the Hijack log.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to GTG.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Please download VundoFix.exe at http://www.atribune....ds/VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
* After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key (or F5 in some machines) until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
* Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
* Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

D:\WINNT\system32\urqqn.dll

* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* When asked for a second path, type in --> D:\WINNT\system32\nqqru.*
* The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
* In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

F3 - REG:win.ini: run=
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {52B1DFC7-AAFC-4362-B103-868B0683C697} - D:\WINNT\system32\urqqn.dll
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [msieftp] D:\WINNT\System32\msieftp.exe
O16 - DPF: {1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D} - file://c:\counter.cab
O16 - DPF: {2FC9A21E-2069-4E47-8235-36318989DB13} -
O16 - DPF: {9B03C5F1-F5AB-47EE-937D-A8EDA626F876} -
O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-0014-0002-0004-ABCDEFFEDCBA} -
O20 - Winlogon Notify: urqqn - D:\WINNT\system32\urqqn.dll
O23 - Service: MySQL - Unknown owner - D:\Program.exe (file missing)

Delete these files if found:

D:\WINNT\system32\urqqn.dll
D:\WINNT\System32\msieftp.exe
c:\counter.cab

* After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
* Pressing any key will cause a 'Blue Screen of Death' this is normal, do not worry!
* Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.

Download and install CleanUp! http://www.greyknigh...spy/CleanUp.exe

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click 'Options...'
Move the arrow down to 'Custom CleanUp!'
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

* Empty Recycle Bins
* Delete Cookies
* Delete Prefetch files
* Cleanup! All Users

Click OK. Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run an online virus scan at ActiveScan http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Thank you for the instructions. The WinFixer popup problem is resolved. :tazz:

Active Scan reported the searchcentrix spyware. Sybot was able to detect and fix it, but each time I log in, it returns back.

Also the following entries return back even after multiple tries of fixing them by Hijack.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - (no file)

O16 - DPF: {2FC9A21E-2069-4E47-8235-36318989DB13} -

You time and help is very much appreciated.

Make sure that TeaTimer is disabled/closed before you do any of the fixes.

Check and fix these in HijackThis:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B} (QuickTime Object) -
O16 - DPF: {1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D} -
O16 - DPF: {2FC9A21E-2069-4E47-8235-36318989DB13} -
O16 - DPF: {9A9307A0-7DA4-4DAF-B042-5009F29E09E1} (ActiveScan Installer Class) - http://www.pandasoft...free/asinst.cab

Try fixing that entry in Spybot again. Restart and see if Spybot still detects it. If it does, tell me where it's located in the registry (assuming that's where it's located).

If nothing is found, then:

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.
