Hi,
I've got a laptop that is running 2000 pro and I want to upgrade it to Windows XP Pro. I've been looking around, you know... checking out prices and that, and I've found a website which has it on for $49 (I'm guessing this website is a US site, but I'm in Britain- so it's only £27! which is great!). I'm good with technology and all that stuff, but I thought I should consult some people a bit more 'tech savvy'. It seems too good to be true.

What do you think about the site? and should I buy it?

Site: Removed by Mod: Appears to be pirated software

Your advice is much apprieciated!

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

This is part of their terms and conditions..

2.3. You cannot register the software with the manufacturer and updates are available not for all the products;
2.4. You do not receive printed license documentation;
2.5. You do not receive a copy of the software on a disk.

I think you are getting pirated software and for that reason I am removing the link..

You can get OEM XP Home for 55 GBP which is what you would have paid with delivery and import duty, you would also pay VAT

Okay, Thanks for the advice. I won't download it from the site I provided.

Also, thanks for the eBuyer link.

Oh, and your support was great :tazz: !
I got a reply within 10 mins. Thanks.
