:tazz: I am running on Compaq Presario that is pretty old, and running MS 98 SE. It came with Easy CD Creator 4 from ADAPTEC. The CD software is now owned by someone else (I forget who at the moment), and there are no upgrades available for this old version.

The problem is, when I burn CDs. They look fine on come devices. However, they look like blank CDs on two new Compaq laptops that I have. (The laptops are different makes and models, one is my own and one is my company's PC.)Could this be hardware related, or should I buy new CD burning software for the old Compaq? I asked at my local PC store, and they told me that it should not be a problem with the software. I hate to buy and install new, if that is not the problem. Anyone had this issue before?

I did find a chat room once that had a link to a free Easy CD Creator 4 upgrade, but that link was no good.

Any advice would be appreciated.

One thing you might do is compare the file types of the cds the machines can see and the ones they can't. Needless to say, you'll have to do it in a machine that can see them all. Also the newer cd software may be creating autorun cds, where the old software you may have to open the cds "by hand".
