those are the only two that i am aware of.

any help would be most appriciated.

mostly for the sake of my head being kept. my father thinks that everything that happens to this computer is my fault. and that i do it intentionally.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

This will not interfere with your anti virus program. All Hijack This does is make a list of startup registry entries and we sort out the ones that do not need to be there. Hijack This just makes it easier to remove these entries from the registry than going in manually. There's nothing to worry about.

and

do i HAVE to do all of those steps?

No, you don't HAVE to do anything... But if you want your computer fixed you should.

hey, i just wanted to say thanks for trying to help me.

my father got mad at me for asking him to fix this [bleep] thing.

so i'm not going to bother with it.

if he wants it done he can do it himself.

again, thanks a lot.
