Since I had a virus removed about a month ago I have a real problem getting on the internet and loading web pages. I have timed it at up to 55 seconds before a page will load and lots of times it will time out. I have run various virus removers and adaware and spybot plus the pc pitstop tests. Nothing has been found.
I am only a little computer literate and I have tried everything I know how to do.
This pc is only a year old and it ran great until I got that virus.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi MarilynL...Welcome to G2G!

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the START HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

You posted just fine, MarilynL...Whenever I suspect that malware may still be an issue, I like to have the specialists have a peek...It really defeats my purpose if we are trying to fix up a machine that is just going to go bad again because of the nasties hidden in there... :tazz:
