While trying to get rid of the Winfixer/Winantispyware, I go into Safe mode. But after logging in, the Dialog box saying that "If you wanna continue being in Safe mode Press Yes." Disappears after a few seconds, thus nothing happens, and I am left with a black screen with the Safe Mode dialog on the four corners of my screen. I figured out that "explorer.exe" is not running. I tried running it via "New Task" on the Control Panel, trying to activate my desktop, the dialog box appears, but again disappears after a second or two. Even if I pressed yes, it would still be a black screen, nothing running. Seems that I can't log in to Safe mode to fix my malware problem :) . :tazz:

Boot the PC as usual then click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD and get a blue progress bar, reboot when the bar goes

Let it load usually then reboot and try safe mode

Have you run Hijack This and posted in the malware forum

http://www.geekstogo...-Log-t2852.html

The next safest option would be to repair XP provided the system is malware free

I read this

http://www.geekstogo...ndpost&p=360534

You should reply and explain you cannot access safe mode to see if they have another way to go

Most of the usual solutions will be circumvented by the malware
