[TechnologicallyChallenged]

I have spent at least 30 hours trying to correct a gray-white screen on my desktop. I worked with McAfee (worthless effort) and have also completed the recommended scans on this forum. For a while, McAfee's Virus Scan could not complete because computer would shut down spontaneously. Now, that problem seems to be corrected, but the screen is still not back to normal, and everything is slow. Also, PSGuard has continuously reappeared and scans do not indicate that it exists. I am soooo through with this problem. Can you please help?
